Puerto de Mazarron Ladies Circle
The Puerto de Mazarron Ladies Circle is a social meeting place for women in the Puerto, Mazarron, and surrounding area, which meets at the Playa Grande Hotel on Thursday afternoons from 1:30 to 3:30pm The current membership is 150 with a committee of 12 elected members We arrange a programme of speakers, visits, demonstrations and visits to places of interest, together with social events such as disco's, dinner dances and karaoke. The first meeting of each month includes a craft sale at which those members who enjoy all kinds of crafts can offer their wares for sale.At present these include jam and pickle making, baking, cross stich, cardmaking, needlework and jewelry making Programme for September 2008 Sept 4th Welcome back social afternoon, with drinks,nibbles, and karaoke Sept 11th Gardeners Question Time with Ian Sept 18th Latin Line Dancing led by Annette Sept 25th Outing to Archena - Details to follow
Programme for October 2008 Oct 2nd Bring and Buy and Crafts sale, then Bingo Oct 9th Jackie Galvez speaking about her job as a councillor and answering questions Oct 16th Jose Manuel Madrid Rodriguez, local vet will give a talk on "chipping" and Pet Passports, and will answer any questions. Oct 24th Please note this is a Friday. By popular request a return trip to Garrucha for the market. Oct 30th Brooks Fashions showing their winter collection.
